News on Windsor
It is Fine! 😃
We went to the Owner's Annual Meeting (held in Sacto this year) yesterday - Tues. At the mtg they said all the resorts in CA are OK! For Windsor, the fire got within 3 miles. 😨 The resort was evacuated, some guests decided to stay but lots left (town of Windsor was volunteer evac). The resort was opened up to the National Guard & FEMA for housing. The resort is suppose to be accepting guests this weekend. We are & were so glad to hear this! We are still keeping our ears open for info on the surrounding areas i.e. Armstrong Redwood, the church we attend on Sun.(that was in Santa Rosa), etc. We are going to wait for all to settle down & it is over 6 months til the reunion. Don't want to add to the stress of all in Sonoma Co.; we have time. Main thing, for us, is that the resort is good. 😊

Update on Windsor --
They have issued a voluntary evacuation for the town of Windsor. But so far the resort is OK. Will keep all updated as we know.
Please pray/keep praying for all the firefighters & rescue people. They are fighting long, long hours!
It is bad - so many are waiting to know if they have anything left. CalExpo is open to evacuees & their animals - large & small, as of this AM. Many Fair Grounds have been welcoming to people & animals as well as many schools.

Reunion Resort & Fires In No. CA
We have been concerned about the Windsor Resort for a couple of days now. We been listening to the news & ck'g the Sonoma Co. website for updates. Things have not been very clear so I called the resort a few minutes ago & they are OK at the moment. She said as the fires are Not contained yet, they are on alert but OK for now. She mentioned that the airport is near & they need to try & keep it safe for emergency reasons.
I'll keep everyone updated as we know.
