News from Murdockville

Dear Sister Kennedy,

So, are you getting transferred like you thought?  How are things going for you?  How's your companion?

This was a pretty basic week for us.  We just got back from Brian and Danielle's house for the monthly family dinner.  Got to spend time with Celeste and Dennis, Kristen, Brian and Dani (obviously) and one of Justin's old mission buddies (he's always invited, but we're not sure if he's related to somebody or not).  Every time we have one of these family dinners, we realize again just how alike Justin and Dennis are.  They have the same wacked sense of humor, and it makes for some pretty interesting times and conversations.

Thursday, we had dinner with Kristen on campus, which was tons of fun.  We spent the whole night just gabbing and laughing and having fun.

Also, our office manager got back from vacation on Thursday.  Her whole family went to New Zealand for two and a half weeks because her husband's family is Maori and they were having a family reunion.  Anyway, poor Jill was jet-lagged from flying halfway around the world, and she had a mountain of work to catch up on.  The attorneys had no idea just how much Jill does at the office until she was gone.  So it's been funny watching them trying to cope without her, and watching her dealing with all their insanity now that she's back.

Justin and I made sugar cookies yesterday.  And homemade frosting.  They're pretty yummy.  :)  That's really all that happened this week, so...

Hugs and lots of love,
Symone

  1. Sounds like you had a nice & busy week. So Glad you are able to spend time w/your cousins. It is great that you are able to be visit & get to know them. I didn't have any cousins that I knew of til I was in my mid 20s. I found out I had a few cousins I didn't even know existed - my Dad's half brother & sister's kids & Mom's aunt & uncles kids kids; not many, but didn't know I had any.

Thank you again for sharing your letters to Jessica.

Love you, wishing you & Justin a great week.

  2. Are you talking about Joe? His wife, Ellen, used to be the nanny for the kids (Charlotte and Ollie and some of their cousins), and they now live in the little house next to Dani and Bryan. They are friends of the family.
